Frequintly Asked Questions
How do I make an appointment?
The easiest way to make an appointment is via the "Book Now" button on our website, which allows you to see all available times. Alternatively, you can call our reception team on (07) 5411 4323 during business hours.
What if I need an urgent appointment?
What if I need an urgent appointment?
We hold a small number of appointments each day for urgent medical issues. Please call the clinic as early as possible in the morning, and we will do our best to accommodate you. For emergencies, please call 000.
What are your fees?
We are a mixed-billing practice. This means that while some patients or services may be bulk-billed, most consultations will incur a private, out-of-pocket fee. For detailed information regarding consultation fees, please call our reception team who will be happy to assist you.
How do I get my test results?
To ensure confidentiality and proper discussion of your results, we require you to book a follow-up appointment with your GP. This can be a brief consultation, and in some cases, may be done via telehealth. Our reception staff cannot provide results over the phone.
How do I get a repeat prescription?
For the ongoing safe management of your health, booking an appointment with your doctor is the best practice for repeat prescriptions. However, for certain long-term medications in stable conditions, some doctors may be able to provide a repeat prescription without a full consultation. Please call our reception team to check if this is an option for your specific circumstance and doctor. A fee may apply for this service.
Can I speak to my doctor over the phone?
Our doctors are generally consulting with patients and are unable to take routine phone calls. For simple administrative queries, our reception team can assist or take a message for the doctor, who will return your call when available. If you require a clinical consultation over the phone (telehealth), this is at the doctor's discretion. Please be aware that phone consultations may incur a private fee as they may not meet the specific requirements for bulk billing set by Medicare.
What happens after hours?
For medical care outside of our clinic hours, please contact the National Home Doctor Service on 13SICK (13 74 25). For any medical emergencies, please call 000 immediately or attend your nearest hospital emergency department.
How do I transfer my medical records to your clinic?
If you would like to make us your regular clinic, you can transfer your records from your previous practice. Please speak to our reception team, who will provide you with a "Transfer of Medical Records" consent form to complete. We will then handle the transfer on your behalf.
What if I miss my appointment?
We understand that sometimes things come up. If you need to cancel, please provide us with at least 2 hours' notice so we can offer the appointment to another patient. A non-attendance fee may be charged for missed appointments or late cancellations.
